There is no reason for gas prices to be so high. Its the greedy oil investors robbing us blind!

People, come on. Just look at the price charts. Prices nationally have dipped almost ten cents in the past week:
http://66.70.86.64/ChartServer/ch.gaschart?Country=Canada&Crude=f&Period=1&Areas=USA%20Average,,&Unit=US%20$/G
Just because it isn't happening down the street from your house, it doesn't mean it isn't happening. Think macro, not micro.

Prices in my area of West Michigan have dropped to the $3.60 range, and so far continue to drop, penny by penny.
We'll see if this welcome trend continues.....

here the high priced stations have been stuck at 3.99 for months; while some others dropped a little. Betting prices change course before the drop reaches us.

This is old news, but it is proving GasBuddy wrong, at least so far as Southern California is concerned. Gas prices here have dropped on an average of 30 cents per gallon in the past 11 days. In many stations, we are below $4.50 per gallon now, and one is at $3.99.

The seasonal slide, rumored since at least July, is now upon us -- finally.
However:
"Make no mistake, some areas have already seen nice declines in gasoline prices- mainly the Great Lakes, where wholesale gasoline prices are at their lowest since February..."
I can guarantee that *retail* gas prices are still mcuh higher than February, when they were in the 2.90s. The *lowest* in town right now is $3.29.
Prices are dropping, but they are not cheap -- not as long as they stay above $3/gallon.
GTH
