Wild stats with gas prices falling

GasBuddy Blog -- We've dug up some pretty interesting statistics in regards to gasoline prices, quite timely given that the national average is seeing its largest drop since 2008.

Thanks to thousands upon thousands of spotters, we learned that in the last week:

6% of all U.S. gas stations are selling gasoline under $3.25/gallon. The good news? That percentage will be rising in the days ahead as prices continue to fall.

23% of all U.S. gas stations are now lower than where they were a year ago! That's impressive- many people may not realize this, certainly those in California, but most true in the Great Lakes states. (Lucky them!)

39% of all California stations have dropped more than 25c/gal in the last week alone!...

In the overall picture, Sandy will most likely cause consumption to fall as it goes by.

The only price that matters is what is on the pump when buying gas.

Coincidence ?? I don't think so. Election time and Liberals trying to sway J.Q. Public.........again and still. Hope enough voters in swing states open their eyes to this.

The price of gas skyrocketed a few months ago because of Iran. Nothing in Iran has changed and the price of gas drops. Funny how taht works.

I am overjoyed by the news. So much so I want to jump up and click my heels. And, I would do that if I weren't so afraid I would fall to the ground and hurt myself.

Our metro average pump price today is #3.32/gal. Huge improvement over 3 weeks ago. Makes me wonder if politics is involved.

Get the speculators out of the crude oil market and you would see another 50% drop in pump prices.

Can't wait till they fall in my area. The difference between US average and Syracuse has been getting wider for almost 2 months. Hopefully that means massive drops in the next few weeks as things go back to "normal"
