. We have been able to be Energy independent for years except for the DOE and EPA and Liberals standing in the way. We don't need to import a single drop of gasoline or oil!

And still the idiots claim Obama is blocking all energy development.
Or, another good one, they choose to ignore or dispute the data such as the recent unemployment data.

""Bloomberg -- The U.S. is the closest it has been in almost 20 years to achieving energy self-sufficiency, a goal the nation has been pursuing since the 1973 Arab oil embargo triggered a recession and led to lines at gasoline stations.""
We certainly HAVE NOT been pursuing that goal very hard or very well.

Good for the US, we still need to be thinking long term. Alternative energy must be part of our energy portfolio for the future.

And the silly season kicks into high gear. Silly Season AKA an election year. You're going to hear a lot of good news even though you know it really isn't.

WHO WROTE THIS CRAP!
We are no closer to energy independence than we were 30 years ago. You can maybe move the yard stick a few inches either way but we can not go it alone, and will not be able to for a long time. Dream about it all you want, we need oil from other coutries. It's that simple!
It is straight guys!

Until our government decides to overregulate some more. And screws this up as well. I'll believe it when its a working model.

I don't believe we need to be in the business of exporting our energy resources.
